Hi! I am new to this board, but post over on the Getting Pregnant board. We have three dogs. 2 pugs (AJ and Polly) and a boxer (Jack).
Here is a quick pic of all three of them together:

My question is this. Our male pug won't stop going to the bathroom in the house. He has always had issues, but it's been especially bad lately. We leave the other two dogs out during the day. I have been crating him in the mornings and then letting him out in the afternoon when I go home for lunch and letting him stay out. For a while, this worked great and he had no issues. Now he goes every single time he is left out. He went outside twice this morning and still pooped in the house. It is very frustrating and I would appreciate any advice you guys have on this issue! :-)

Re: Intro and a Question
Adorable pic! I have 2 pugs as well (ages 5.5 and 6.5).
Since it sounds like AJ's issue pottying inside is not a new thing, it seems unlikely that it is medical or age-based incontinence, but I would get him a thorough vet check just to be sure, especially if the behavior has suddenly worsened. How old is he?
Assuming he checks out health-wise, I would go back to potty training 101. Crate him when you can't supervise or are out of the house, and take him out very frequently with tons of praise/rewards when he potties outside. You may also want to tether him to you when you are inside so he can't sneak off to potty and so you can watch for any signs that he has to go (sniffing, circling, whatever he does right before he potties). Until he can be trusted not to potty in the house, I would continue crating. My guys had to earn the right to be un-crated (they are baby-gated into our third bedroom while we're gone), and there have been one or two regression periods during which we've gone back to crating them as part of "reminder" potty training. It has worked extremely well, but neither of them has ever had consistent potty training issues, which is what it sounds like with AJ.
Also, make sure you are cleaning any accidents with an enzymatic cleaner such as Nature's Miracle. Regular cleaners can leave the scent of the pee/poo and cause the dog to potty in that spot again (because they think it's ok based on the smell). GL!
