What kind of car do you drive?
my read shelf:
Re: QOTD 5/9
I drive a 2007 black Honda Civic
DH drives a 2010 Grey Honda CR-V - we'll be trading that one in soon because the lease is up in Oct.
I have a 2007 Mazda 6. I'm a huge fan of my car.
DH has an old Alero his parents gave him after his sister smashed up his Focus. SIL is a scary driver!!
I drive a 2007 Prius which is the bane of my existence. I have dumped over $2,500 into in in the last 3 months...Though, I do love the great gas mileage.
H drives some sort of small Nissan that I have only ridden in a handful of times in the 3+ years we have been together.
I don't drive quite yet, I just got my learners permit in April and have driven a total of 1X my husbands Chevrolet Colarado pick up... OH that was an interesting drive lol
I didn't make the first corner... had to back up and try again :P hehe I think I went a total of 20 km/hr lol
DH is looking into getting me a Toyota Yaris or something like that, but we'll see I should have my full license come April 2014. Depending if I can keep up with my courses (you have to take a driving school course for 10 months before you can do your written exam, then 2 months after that take the driving test with the Gov't agent)
I think we need a mini van, the baby is coming in July and my son is already to tall to sit in the back of the truck (5ft7 at 13 years old) so we are going to def need a bigger vehicle
ok sorry for babbling
hehe
Make a pregnancy ticker
I drive a 2003 corolla, and sometimes my 1st car a 97 pathfinder for ha has, or for snow
H drives a 2011 prius...but when he drives the work truck, i steal it
(willy- we've never had problems...but we're still under warranty, did the battery go? if ours does before the warranty, free, but after the 75000 mile warranty we'd be out 3500$ let me know)
No, it wasn't the battery that went out. Check with your local Toyota dealer about the battery warranty, I think mine was extended to 160,000 miles. My issue was the throttle body, which was $1,500 to replace, two tires totaling $460 and a the 12 volt battery, which is only used to start the car and run the interior lights for $440. So, the little things add up in the car, nothing is cheap to replace.
I drive a 2012 Honda Crosstour. H just sold his truck because now that we are working together, he never drove is. It was almost a $1k expense in payment and insurance so it's smarter for us to have sold it and save the money then have it sitting in the driveway every day.
High five for learning to drive! I only got my license 2 years ago, at the age of 26. One of the (many!) reasons I knew H was the one was when he succeeded in teaching me to drive where sooooo many others had failed, lol. Not easy, but so worth it!
I drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla that I love to death. I could not ask for a more perfect car for me. H drives a Mazda 3 and will likely get some sort of SUV when his lease ends in a few months. I'm sure a larger vehicle will come in handy since we're thinking about trying for a baby soon.
I drive a 2011 subaru outback and H drives my old car, a 2007 volvo s40
He got rid of his subaru and we figured that i needed a "family" car with the baby coming so he took the volvo and i got the new car=) Not that anything is really old about the volvo or that it isnt safe, the subaru has more room for all the baby stuff ill be lugging around soon!
I drive a 2005 Chevy Cavalier. I love my car because it was almost new (2 yrs, only 20,000 miles) when I got it. I was 18 when I got it and I feel like I've 'grown up' in that car. But last year I smashed up the bumper (I'll admit I'm not the best driver, lol). Apparently the '05 Cavalier's have slightly different bumpers and it was going to be around $600 to fix. Since it was just cosmetic damage, I couldn't see spending that much money. But I HATE having my bumper all smashed up..so embarrassing, ha! Sucks even more because it isn't even paid off! It will be paid off in October. When you're 18 a six year car payment doesn't sound terrible but oy! I'm SO SICK of making that darn payment every month. I'm determined to drive it at least six more years!
H sold his car when we moved to Pittsburgh. It was a 1996 Monte Carlo and didn't have much life left in it. We live in a walking community and he walks to work, it's only a half a mile up the street.
I was driving a 2008 Toyota Solara convertible. I LOVED IT. Unfortunately, the day before Easter I was in a 4 car accident on a major highway here in Jersey and my car was totalled. We had JUST finished paying it off on March 1st.
They don't make the convertible anymore (2008 was the last year). So we got a 2013 Jeep Compass to replace it. I love it a lot, but I still miss my convertible.
H drives a 1993 Jeep Wrangler. He will continue to drive it until it doesn't drive anymore (his words). Or until it rusts out from underneath him!
I drive a 2006 Nissan Sentra. I only bought it because the transmission on my first car went and I desperately needed a car. I knew someone selling the Nissan so I bought it. I'd love to get a Chevy Orlando eventually!!
H drives a 2004 Honda Civic which his parents bought him in college. He is currently looking at getting a truck though.
soleras were great! what a bummer!! my mom had one (but a 2001) in perfect condition...my moms a little obsessive, and in 2009 she let us borrow it for my birthday weekend to the beach...a little old lady mistook her gas for her break and totalled it! i'm not even allowed in the front seat of her new car. (even though it was not my fault!)
