Re: QOTD 5/10

  • We tip if we are staying at a resort, but not if we are staying at a regular hotel.

  • I never think about it, so I always forget.  I did leave a tip one of the times we stayed in Vegas, we totally destroyed the room, someone puked, I felt bad...

  • If it's only one night... sometimes. When we stay longer we always tip. Not a ton. But something.

    Anniversary

  • I only ever stay in hotels for work travel and we almost always have an arrangement with the hotel regarding less housekeeping. I usually have the housekeeper come once during my 4-5 day trip. I don't get the room that dirty.  If it is everyday, I will leave something and expense it to my company :)

  • I try to leave something, depending on length of stay and quality of work.

Like the person that didn't make my bed because my book was on it... "not allowed to touch person items"  it's was a book, a REAL book, not nook.  Make the freaking bed and put it on my pillow!  did not get anything.

  • Not really.

I usually don't stay in a hotel room long enough to warrant a tip. The last time, I barely stayed in the room for 12 hours (it was a really quick business-type trip)

  • ALWAYS! I am a messy person and they clean up my towels!? of course I tip...3-5$ per night...more if its better service, less if it's worse service.

Most of the time.  If I'm rushing out, I usually forget and realize once it's too late.  I always feel guilty.  I leave more per night if I'm in a room for a week than if I'm there for a weekend or night.  I always tip at the end of the stay, not daily.
