I had another appointment this morning with the high risk doctor.
Even though there was a very very faint heartbeat, they are diagnosing baby B as passed. It wasn't out of the blue for us, especially since it wasn't developing normally.
My concern was... last time I saw them, they said there was a good chance if B dies, so would A. They took a lot of pictures of the blood flow to A. Here's what the dr had to say.
He thinks A is doing okay. He thinks the blood flow looks good. We aren't out of the woods yet since B just passed. There is a chance, that brain damage could've been done to A with the passing of B. And, my hematoma has grown, which kind of worried me because it was being stable over the past few weeks. But.. At 12 weeks they will do another ultrasound and check out the brain of A. As long as it looks good, he seems to think that I will go on from that point and have a normal singleton pregnancy.
Normal?
He said he doesn't want to give me false hope.. but he is hopeful.
All in all... while we are sad at the loss of B, we were kind of expecting it. Other than the risk it posed for A, I think the earlier it passed, the better. And hopefully A continues to grow and be healthy!!
