Not only is he a total slime-ball but he has done nothing for Los Angeles.  Did anyone read the LA Weekly article on him? Interesting look at his schedule.

is this the article where he basically bounces from event to event for photo ops? Hmmm....you know I'm interested in seeing his gangster tattoos he has on his arms. Apparently, he covers them? But from what I hear he's got sleeves??

I didn't read the article...but I know he's a total PR mayor. Having worked with his office to get him to different events hosted by the NPOs I've worked for was quite a task. He actually showed up to most, but I swear it was like the staff never even turned off the ignition in his "get away car" so he could get to the next tree planting/ribbon cutting/baby kissing/societal butt-kissing event.

Um...I'm gonna step off my soapbox now, before I tell you how I really feel.

My DH can't stand the guy either.  I use to like him but as time has gone by I have seen how little he has done for the city (except fill a few potholes!)  Not a very big accomplishment if you ask me.

He definitely let his Mayor status get to him. This guy is just too much. I stopped liking him after he had the affair.  When he rode by in the Rose Parade last year, my DH yelled out to him, "hey where's your gf?"  We can't stand the dude.

ugh, i can't stand the guy. I'm not a huge fan of the city of LA politicians in general --we moved to Hawthorne and found out we're in an unincorporated block, meaning we get ignored by both cities-- but he just takes the cake. I think he spends too much time milking his image as rico suave Latino mayor as opposed to being the mayor.

He is an absolute joke as a mayor.  All he ever does is show up and events and have his picture taken.  He travels to other countries for who knows what reasons and does nothing for his own city.  He needs to get the boot.

I met him in person and I can't stant him at all!!!!

He discussed the topic of illegal immigrants and I was amazed at his stance on it.  But it was long ago...not sure what he'd say now.
