does passion have to die?

I've always been satisfied by my sex life with my partner. But we're still in the early years and it's hard not to get caught up in the idea that passion inevitably dies down between people. is it worth doing something about that preemptively? is it even possible to "spice things up" or whatever before the fire fades? any advice would be welcome.

Re: does passion have to die?

  • Like any other aspect of a relationship, I think sex/excitement is easier to keep up with than it is to fix once it's broken. It shouldn't require a ton of work, but you should be able to prevent most major problems in the bedroom by keeping the lines of communication open. I think as long as you both continue to be open about your desires, talk regularly about your level of satisfaction with your sex life, and try new (or old, forgotten) things every so often, you're probably going to be in pretty good shape.

  • I agree:

You both need to work on the passion part.:)

You need to keep it healthy and active and this is where your creativeness -- his and yours -- comes into play.

There's tons of things you can do to spice things up.  Sit down with him and ask him what he'd like to see in your love lives/sex lives.  Ask him on a day when the 2 of you have nothing pressing and you can discuss this topic at length.

Yep.  This.  We're twelve years in and things are still awesome.

  • It is normal to see some decrease on the passion. But you can try to spice things up.

Try to have dates, like you used to have at the beginning. Try a romantic room decoration.

Play a bit more, it may not an everyday thing but you can at least try.

Celebrate life and love with a romantic anniversary room package at any Hotel, B&B, or Vacation Rental in the U.S.
