Hi Guys ![]()
Venti Mom here, I have two little people I'd like to introduce. They've consumed my heart & life for almost a week now. It's been amazing. I will try to get the birth story out, but I don't have much time. My daughter is about to lose it ![]()
Our babies: Vaughn Carlton 5lbs 1oz, 5/14/13 @ 6:17am & Eloise Annette 4lbs 14oz, 5/14/13 @ 6:22am. (I think my son looks like grumpy cat.. lol)

Run down:
" height="675" width="504" />Checked into the hospital at 2:30pm, got set up in our room around 5pm. We started the Pitocen at 6pm, water broke at 12:35, Contractions came hard and painful as soon as my water broke (when my water broke it was so cool. I was so scared, SO MUCH came out). Epidural at 1:45am (this wasn't as bad/painful as I thought it was going to be). At 4am I was 10cm... It felt like I had to go number 2, and I was afraid to push! Practice pushed in L&D for a few moments, Dr said I was a great pusher so we went to the OR to deliver @ 5:50am...
My son came out first at 6:17, and a few moments later I delivered my daughter. It.was.amazing. AHHHmazing. Vaughn coming out was very painful, but it didn't last long, Ella's arm came out first, they had to shove her back in and try to flip her around. We were two seconds from a c-section but they got her turned around and I gave three hard pushes and she was out.
I got my skin to skin with Vaughn, this was really important to me, but really it's all a blur. They both came out screaming. It was just beautiful. I'm weird and loved my birth. I think it was amazing and I'm so very glad I didn't have a c-section. (they gave us the option to have one). I was thisclose to having one at midnight, but I was progressing so I went forward with the vaginal delivery.
Breastfeeding- is going well, not easy... a lot of work. But everyone is getting fed.
Weight loss-after the 13% loss both babies have gained 1oz, we have to feed EVERY TWO hours. It's hard to feed a baby who isn't hungry yet.
My Vagina- a lot of bleeding, a lot. I stayed in a gown for the first two or three days and the huge mesh panties. It wasn't worth putting my yoga pants on... they check you OFTEN. A shower was the best feeling ever and a little makeup makes you feel like a new woman. I'm on some pain pills, but the pain isn't horrible. It's just there. I has no rips or tears so it's just normal delivery pain.
Any other questions? I'm not sure what else to say so if you have any birth questions I will try to answer.
best part? The babies ![]()

!! Thanks for letting me AW my babies, it's been wild.
This is weird, but it felt so nice to sit here for a second and nest/bump/facebook. It's weird how you suddenly just don't have the time to do this old simple stuff.
Again, Thank you!
AG- dooo it. I think it's a beautiful name (obviously)
Rads- melts my heart as well.
