I have an interview scheduled for tomorrow. Between my co-worker/ex-roommate, and the recruiter's office, this place has other candidates, but wanted to meet with me before scheduling anyone else's interview.

I haven't interviewed in about 8 years. Wish me luck!

Do you know what you'd be wearing to work at this new job?
I know a suit is recommended, but when I was interviewing, I arrived at some places and was SO out of place in a suit that I looked ridiculous and I felt really uncomfortable at the interview because it looked like I knew nothing about the company.

The recruiter told me it was a business casual dress code.. so I wore black pants, a blue button down, and a black jacket. Suit-ish without being a suit proper.
I was definitely overdressed, but I got the feeling that she didn't mind.
I think it went decently well. At one point, they realized it was taking longer than they expected- the exact comment was 'oh, and we have someone waiting..' but they didn't cut it short, we finished the interview. It took an hour and a half. And sure enough, when we finished there was someone waiting. So I am taking that to be a good sign.
They also talked about the next step being me coming in to meet with the girl who is in the position now, and spend some time getting familiar with the office, etc. So I imagine they aren't doing that with too many people. So we'll see what happens!

I'm glad it went well!!! Sounds like you picked a perfect outfit too. Sorry for my late responding. I totally spaced on which day your interview was on!
