Map of Moore tornadoes since 1893

This was a really interesting visual for those of us familiar with the area. It's incredible to see the pattern.

I would love to see a map like this for the whole metro or state.

  • Yes! I saw this on Facebook (from you?)! I have always wondered why tornadoes seem to gravitate towards Moore.

Yes, it was me :) I posted here too since I'm not friends with many nesties on Facebook. I just thought it was so interesting.

  • That map doesn't seem totally accurate. It shows the 2003 tornado starting up by I-240, but in reality it hit 12th St. and I-35 in Moore.

Nevertheless, that map is really interesting. Glad to see the location my home is in has never been hit... knocking on wood.

Oh, really? I wouldn't have caught that. I moved to OK after that tornado later in 2003, and was in Moore area from 2009 to 2012.
