quarterfoil mirror above my fireplace..but concern it is too high above mantel

Hi,

I just bought a quarterfoil mirror for above my mantel.  I put it up last night and it is about 15 inches my mantel.  As I am sitting and looking towards the fireplace, I am just feeling like it is too high.  I don't want to make another hole in the wall, so I need some suggestions of how to keep it from being disconnected from the decor on the mantel...tying it altogether.  I thought about putting a wall quote under the mirror, but wasn't sure if it would look well and actually tie it together.  Thank you for any suggestions and advice. 

~Just to give you a picture in mind, the fireplace is in the dining room and the dining table sits in front of the fireplace just a few feet away.

And yes, most likely you'll have to make another hole.  Live and learn.  What's on my mantel now appears to be about 8" above.

According to J. Randall Powers (a top interior designer), "The perfect amount of space between a mirror and the top of a mantel is 7 inches." I knew I pinned that for a reason!

Thanks Ladies. I think that I am going to make another hole and bring the mirror down 7 inches from the mantel.  The mirror is throwing me off being so high from the mantel.  I should have looked it up before putting the mirror up.  Thanks for the advice.
