How you truly appear to people?
What's the true way you look to people? Is it what you seem in the mirror or how you look in photos?
I've read that we cannot trust our own eyes because we tend to see
ourselves as better looking than we really are but it's weird because
I'm not very photogenic but my wife says I look better in person and I
see myself in the mirror as better looking than in photos. It's rare I
take a great pic but when I do its how I mostly see myself and how other
ppl see me.
So which is it? Do photos not capture someone's true image?

Re: How you truly appear to people?
I never judge people's appearances by photos. Reason is my SIL, while pretty, is not nearly as pretty as the pix she takes. It's astounding. Even MIL and dh have commented on how unbelievable the difference is between her pix and real life.
But... Beauty isn't skin deep, I know we all know this. But an average looking girl can be way more beautiful than a pretty girl who scowls or is snotty. KWIM?
I also interact with my reflection (and cameras I'm aware of). I think I prefer to see myself alive and lively instead of zooming in on one tiny aspect. It's maybe on the spectrum of flirting...but confined to my own enjoyment of the body/face I have.
