Help! Dog digging in my planters!

I need help with getting my Rottie to not dig in my planters on my deck.  After spending money and time, she rips the plants right out of the planters...any suggestions?

Re: Help! Dog digging in my planters!

  • Don't leave her out there unsupervised to get into trouble.

If you're out there with her, you can redirect her from the planters to other fun things she's allowed to do.

  • She is bored. Take her for a walk, get some rawhide chews, anything to entertain and stimulate her. My dog would behave this way if he didn't get the exercise he needs.

  • Chicken wire, my mom use to put some chicken wire down in the plant beds to and then cover it with soil to keep the cats from digging in it. Not sure if it's puppy proof but it sure was kitty proof. Good luck
