Help! Need someone to take over my lease ASAP!
So husband and I decided to rent an apartment while we were house hunting. As luck would have it, 2 months into our 12 month lease, we managed to actually find something we like. Now, we've got 10 months left on the lease and the building won't let us out of it unless we either pay $3,500 or find someone to take over the lease. Craigslist has been a total disaster, and we're running out of time since we close on the house at the end of June.
SO, I thought I'd try here too!
Does anyone know of anyone who might be looking for an apartment in Arlington towards the beginning of July that might be interested?? It's a great 1BR + Den in the middle of Shirlington Village. Very pet friendly and you can walk to pretty much everything (including the Harris Teeter, which is right downstairs, and the giant dog park across the street!)
If not, does anyone have any other ideas for where we might find a renter? Getting a bit stressed that we're going to have to pay this horrible fee to get out of the stupid lease. Thanks for your help!
