Guess the breed? And hello again.
Hi again! On Monday we adopted a puppy from the SPCA. She's 3 months old and very smart and sweet
We were told she's a Mastiff mix but not sure of the "mix" part. Or even what kind of Mastiff. My guess on the Mastiff is Cane Corso. But, no clue on the mix.
Re: Guess the breed? And hello again.
She's adorable!! Thanks for adopting her!
My thought is that if they classified her as "mastiff" mix, she's either English or Bull Mastiff, not Cane Corso (but it's always a possibility, I suppose!). Either way, she's going to get big!
What have you decided to name her??

She's a little taller than my 13 week old St. Bernard but he outweighs her by about 10 lbs. He's short but really stocky.
We named her Abby after Abby on NCIS haha!
We have a Ziva rescue pup named from NCIS too! (Also a mix with unidentified breeds). We were told she was a Great Pyranees/German Shepherd mix, but we had a DNA blood test done and she has ten breeds, none of which are GP/GSD! We love her any way.
Congrats on your new family member, she's gorgeous.
Those DNA tests are really just for laughs. They're not terribly accurate. I bet doing one on my purebred Boxer would even bring up some other crazy breeds. Have a laugh over the results, and then go by whatever you want. A mix is a mix, and they're adorable no matter the breed!

Abby is so sweet! My childhood black lab growing up was named Abby.
I have a cane corso who is just over a year now. I agree that as a mastiff mix she is most likely english or bull mastiff. That snout does look very similar to my Ben's though haha. Good Luck to her! Cant wait to see her grow.
I have a friend who got one of the DNA tests done on her Bully mix and it's hilarious. This dog looks as Bully as they come and the DNA test has him mainly as a Dachshund.
