what's popping on this dreary day/weekend?
We are actually free all weekend! It's a miracle. We will probably hang home tonight, maybe head out to KOP and go shopping tomorrow and Sunday is undetermined.
Re: weekend plans
Friday, finally! This week has been dragging for me.
Tonight, just take out and a movie. Tomorrow, I am going to the Brandywine Wine and Food festival with girlfriends assuming that is still on due to the weather. It should be a fun girls day.
Sunday, nothing much. Probably just cleaning, laundry and relaxing!
A very baby weekend:
Today/Tonight: Out of work at 3:00 (yay summer hours!), run home to meet my mom who's visiting for the weekend and grab Simon for his vet visit. Mani, peti and brow wax after we're done at the vet. Dinner out and a trip to Target.
Tomorrow: PHILLY BABY SHOWER! (Side story: So, back when H moved to Ohio I chopped off all of my hair. You know what they say, you can tell something is wrong when a woman chops off all of her hair...so very true in my case.) Anyway, I haven't had my hair cut again in over a year! My hair grows super fast so it's pretty long again. I'm getting a trim (life is good, no reason to chop!) on Saturday morning and the salon is also going to apply my makeup so I look all pretty for the baby shower. I NEVER splurge like this so I'm super excited to pamper myself a little bit, especially since I know there will not be a ton of "me time" in the near future. Shower fun will be had (please send out your good weather vibes!) and then back home to-I'm guessing-crash!
Sunday: A crash course in child labor and delivery from 9am to 2:00pm. H and I decided to do a one day course rather than a multiple week evening class. So that should be interesting! We'll probably work on the nursery later in the day. My mother is bringing a ton of flowers with her and plans to tidy up our back yard while we're gone! It's something I would normally do, I love gardening, but it's getting to be too hard of a task for me to do on my own. Yay for moms!
Monday: We have the ultrasound to check on the status of my low lying placenta first thing in the morning. I'm super nervous and seriously hope that it's moved out of the way!
Tonight- Take out and a movie. Just relaxing
Saturday- Hair and nails- Errands- Goingt to the Kenny Chesney concert- Maybe head to the shore after or just come home....TBD right now
Sunday- Beach or pool day
Today- I was supposed to have off but I'm writing a brief and then I have to do some running around and final prep for E's birthday bash tomorrow. Then we are running to the NICU to see his doctors and nurses and celebrate how far he and we have come!
Tomorrow- Birthday bash, crying my eyes out, all the normal first birthday stuff... hopefully a nice big glass of wine at the end of the day!
Sunday- relaxing (I hope) and going through all his gifts.
Today: Leaving work early to go try to win Brad praisley tickets..then having my parents over for dinner
Sat: Chores and relaxing
Sunday; We have a wedding down in Cape May, its one of my closest friends from childhood but Im not super excited about it because of the sunday drive and I dont really know a ton of people going but Im happy for her so hopefully it will be a nice time.
No major plans other than grocery shopping at some point and straightening up around the house.
I just want to spend all of my free time with DS cuddling him. I miss him so much and feel like I hardly see him now that I am back to work and spend 3 hours a day commuting.
NQ- Fingers crossed for good weather. And you're right about the "me time"- it goes bye bye once you are a Mommy. But I wouldn't trade it for anything
Tonight: Puttering around the apartment, getting ready for H to put together our new desk sometime in the future. H is OOT and getting back really late tonight.
Tomorrow/Sunday: Going down the shore to celebrate my nephew's birthday. How is he 3 already!?!?
Tonight- DH and I are going out to dinner sans kids, yay! I was going to skip it because of the weather but we will be inside and this has been week from hell, we both need to get out and enjoy a bit
Tomorrow- early morning run, work then graduation party late afternoon
Sunday- we are wide open so fun plans need to be made besides the usual grocery shopping and laundry

Have fun at the shower and good luck with the ultrasound, NQ!
Tonight: Vegging on the couch with a pizza and bottle of wine, most likely. It's been a loooong week for both of us.
Tomorrow: DH is going to a going away party for a friend who's moving overseas, but I'm bailing and just hanging with DS. Hopefully it won't be raining all day, so we can go for a walk or to the park. Then I'm going out for dinner and drinks with girlfriends in Conshy, which I'm super excited for. We're doing it up a little bit -- drinks and cheese plate at Stone Rose, then dinner at Blackfish. And I have a new outfit to wear
Sunday: Probably just trying to get the house and our lives in order. Plus another walk and/or trip to the park.
We were out at a playdate earlier today, and then headed home. Music class was canceled...can't say I'm too super sad today to not have had one more stop to make. Tonight DH is leaving work early and we are taking DD to her first play- "The Little Mermaid Jr." at the local elementary school. A bunch of the kids from the after care program at my work are in it, so she will be excited to see them. After that, I have to grocery shop.
Tomorrow DH has a swim meet, and I'm going to play it by ear with the weather. If weather is nice, we are going to try to head to the Mini Farm Show at Fox Chase Farm, or maybe storytime and crafts at the Pennypack Environmental Center. We'll see. If weather stinks, we may lounge around and head to my parents' to play a bit. At night, I'm hoping DH gets home early enough so we can start to get our basement back together...
Sunday we are looking at a house in the morning, then I have the dreaded birthday/baby shower/ridiculousness luncheon with my girlfriends, then dinner at MIL's to celebrate family birthdays.
Oh, and I had to take DS to the doctor yesterday for a sick appointment- they are pretty sure he's developing asthma. Back to the nebulizer and all- he's not contagious so they weren't worried about him being out or anything- but I feel so bad for him
