August will be our two year anniversary and cotton is the traditional gift.
When we first started dating I was away at college. During one of my trips home he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet he had made out of cotton he had picked. It was too sweet and one of the few "romantic" things he's ever executed on his own.
Of course I kept all the cotton, and now I thought it would be the perfect excuse to give it life outside the ziplock bag it's called home.
Any ideas on what I could do with it?
Re: Cotton gift ideas?? SIP
Well, one idea would be to get it spun into thread and use it to embroider something. You could also have it spun into yard and made into something but that would take a LOT of cotton... I'm guessing the bouquet didn't fill a bathroom so I would go with thread.
I don't know how crafty you are but one idea would be to have the cotton spun into thread and dyed, then use it to make a sweet cross stitch for him. Or something he could use like a hand towel with the initial of your last name stitched on it. You can pay to have this done also.
That is the only good idea I can come up with!!
you could put it into a ball ornament with a photo of you two from either your dating days, or your wedding. the ornament can hang on a christmas tree, or simply as decor in your home.

Our 2 year anniversary was about a month ago. I gave my husband this: https://kieljamespatrick.com/anchor-bracelet/907
The rope is 100% cotton. I thought it was nice because sailor's ropes are used on ships and are strong and can weather any storm. Sort of like a good marriage. I also surprised him with some lingerie.
Hope this helps!
