I am hosting dinner at my house (earlier like 3pm) and im clueless about what to make. We are tired of steak and my husband is not a big pork loin fan. Any suggestions on what to serve? We will have about 10 people. I was hoping to keep the main dish to bbqing as not to heat up my small house with the oven and then the 10 people in it!

If you wanted to make something ahead of time and not have to cook at all while your guests are over, and as long as everyone likes mayo, you can do chicken salad for a main with some other sides (salad, pasta salad, fruit, etc.).

A few ideas:
Lamb Kebabs
Greek style chicken (penzey's spices has a GREAT spice blend for this!)
Pulled pork sandwiches (crockpot)
BBQ chicken
the kebabs and greek chicken can be served with a greek salad, some sort of potato or rice (maybe baked potatoes on the grill!), and a fruit salad for dessert.
the bbq chicken or pulled pork can go with a pasta salad, vegetable (corn on the grill? green bean casserole?) and again some sort of fruit or light dessert.

You can make some chicken related item with good drinks. Also, make some fast food related item that you like most.
