Fencing ??

First post in a LOOOONG time!

We are looking to fence in both the front and back yards, We want picket up front and privacy in the back. Our exterior trim is painted Valspar Lyndhurst duchess cream. Would you paint the fencing to match the trim or go for a "crisper" white?

Also, we have a large deck and pergola in the back that would be visible above the privacy fence that will be stained, would it look okay in your opinion to have white picket up front and stained privacy fence in the back??

if it helps, our exterior is painted a robins egg blue :)

Re: Fencing ??

  • When it comes to privacy, security and value of your home, fencing plays an important role. You can choose material based on your priority. Also you can mix and match various materials and create a unique design.

My initial reaction is to ask for a picture. However, after finding the color online it doesn't look to yellowy of a cream so I think you could go either way. If you like matchy then I would go with cream. If you don't mind having the house and fence not match, but still coordinate, then I would go with white. I think the white is a crisp, clean shade which adds some dimension. If you can, take a picture in front of your house then in a photo editor (even Microsoft Paint) create a white fence and a cream fence. That should help you decide!
