Ideas to Re-Use a Drop Side Crib?
It illegal to sell or donate or even give away for free. I don't just want to dump it in a landfill if I can come up with a great idea for it! Help me!!
Re: Ideas to Re-Use a Drop Side Crib?
Is it seriously illegal to give these to people now??? We've been out of the US for about 4 years now and I knew that even when we left experts were saying that they were unsafe. Nothing is safe for babies anymore except a plastic bubble. I'm pretty sure that even those are unsafe too. I guess my poor son is faced with certain death. I have been using a drop side crib for him since he was born. I honestly don't understand what is so unsafe about them. The one I have is mine from when I was a baby so it is 30 years old. It is of sturdy construction and made of actual wood and hasn't given us a single issue. Plus I absolutely love that I can get my son in and out without having a stepstool (I'm only 5 foot).
However, if you are going to repurpose, a desk is a wonderful idea. Also, you could use the crib sides as some sort of climbing system for viney plants in the garden.
