Our experiment

Ryan is so very ACTIVE. Its part of the autism. He won't even sit to eat.

So we put my fitbit on him today (pedometer). He took 16,948 steps, which is almost 7miles.7!  I rarely hit 10,000 without the gym, except yesterday since I was running after him. We didn't do anything crazy today. Mcdonald playplace since it was suppose to rain, and we were outside at my parents.

If I could bottle his energy up we would be millionaires! He eats soo much, I'm already running out of food. He's only 46 lbs and he comes to my chin. Then again by the fitbit he burned over 3000 calories.

Have you had him try sitting on a yoga ball when eating? How about having Velcro under the chair for him to fidget with (its a sensory thing) so he is able to 'do' something while he sits to eat.

I do have an exercise ball... Usually he just grabs food and runs. I tried to help him at MIL's house, but I got overruled. I know his class has paper with feet printed on it. If they don't want to sit they can stand, but has to stay on the feet.
