Trying to bring on my period early

So I have a cruise coming up in a couple of weeks and I don't want my period to come during that time (which is when it's scheduled.) I've read that drinking parsley tea and taking large amounts of vitamin C are known to bring on your period. I'm willing to try it. I've also heard that placing sprigs of parsley in your vagina will really do the trick. Seriously. I swear. I've read tons of women's posts who have tried it and swear by it. I'm a little weary of doing this because it seems that it might hurt (or possibly get lost...eeewww.) Anyone ever tried this method? Does it hurt? Anyone every lost the parsley? I know how crazy it sounds. But my period is usually pretty darn regular and I don't want to deal with it during the cruise.

Re: Trying to bring on my period early

  • Is there any chance you're on birth control pills? You can skip thru the placebo week and start taking a new pack. This generally prevents your period. Other than that...I don't know of anything.

This is the only method that I know of that would for the most part be reliable and safe. I used it when I went on my cruise last year and last month when I went to Las Vegas.  There is also medication that can bring your period early I think it's called Depro, so talk to you gynecologist/physician.
