30th Birthday party suggestions?!
Ok folks-my husband is turning 30 in January and we live in Michigan so the weather for that time of year is awful. I know it's a bit early to be planning but I am just looking for ideas as of now. No one is at the local Detroit board so I would appreciate any ideas. He loves sports-baseball in particular, karaoke, good beers, and being active. I have some back up ideas but was hoping for something awesome! Let me know if you think of something-I'd appreciate the help
Re: 30th Birthday party suggestions?!
When my husband turned 30 (he's 34 now) I gave him the option of a party, a weekend away, or a concert he really wanted to go see. He chose the concert. It was what he wanted and he really enjoyed just having the time to ourselves.
My 30th birthday was in March and my husband threw me a surprise party, inviting all of my friends and our local family. We had talked about going away for the weekend, but with school (I'm a teacher) and his job, it just wasn't possible.
Ask him now how he would like to celebrate his birthday, that way it's enough in the future that he'll have a little bit of a surprise with whatever you decide.
For my ex's 30th, a group of friends and us went out sky diving. Told him I wanted to push him out of a plane for his big 3-0. He loved it because it was totally different got his heart pumping. At the time it was around a hundred dollars each, and then he decided at the last moment to get a video of it. (not recommended if you don't want to look like a basset hound with your cheeks flapping in the wind).
Afterward we had a pot luck BBQ for all of our friends who couldn't afford it or were too scared to go. That way everyone could participate in his birthday, the endorphins came down after the big event and we all chilled over meat and beers.
I think that was one of his favorite birthdays.
