Yay for electricity!

Some electricians came to our house over lunch today and changed out one of two light switches into an electrical plug. I think they thought I was crazy when they finished because I was SO EXCITED to have an electrical plug in that bathroom!

I guess houses built in the late 40's and early 50's just didn't have a need for large bathrooms or even electrical plugs in the bathrooms. Then again, I don't think they had blowdryers or hair straighteners back then either.

Finally after living here for 2.5 years I can blow dry my hair in the master bathroom without walking down the hall to the guest bath! Woo hoo!

 Yay for electricians!

Re: Yay for electricity!

  • It's funny what we sometimes take for granted! I feel your pain. Someone put in (the outlets that we do have) upside down! and several of them were located directly next to a water source - how stupid is that?
  • Our house was built in the late 60's but the owner was an electrictian so we hae plugs and switches everywhere! We counted over 30 in the basement!
