Just now in the mail arrived a card from the American Bar Association that says "congratulations on your admission to the bar" and then some crap about free benefits to celebrate the accomplishment.
So, are they a year late in congratulating me on my last bar exam, or do they know something about CA that I don't yet?
While it absolutely has to be the former, my stress level cannot take this kind of stuff right now. This isn't the first mailing I've recieved from them - usually it's stuff asking for money to join all their random associations, that I get about once a month from them. They need to get their books straight. I don't like this kind of agony.
Re: s/o on the bar...random ABA weirdness
I think I just got something like this. It said something about a free year of membership or something. I was admitted just over a year ago, so I'm sure it's the former. No worries!
And I'm sure you passed the bar. You'd already passed a different bar before, right? You're gold!
I find out soon. I am scared to talk about the day and time. If I haven't said anything by Thanksgiving, assume the worst.
I was way more calm last year, but the CA bar was pure hell, and the whole moving cross country 3 weeks didn't really help my stress level.
Interesting that you also got this bridey. How totally weird. Why have they been sending me bills for a year, and now a congratulations? This is not good for my sanity.
::bangs head on desk::
When does CA release the results?
I feel so bad for people taking the bar in the large states. Because of the diploma privilege (don't even get me started on that nonsense), nobody takes the WI bar. We got the results after 6 weeks.
