Weightloss challenge group

I know I find it easier to stay accountable for my weight loss if I have other like minded people pushing me and motivating me, so I would like to start a challenge group for anyone trying to lose weight or even just to continue to stay fit and healthy.  Everyone in the challenge group will have to be positive towards others and willing to motivate, push, and encourage the rest of the members towards their dreams and goals. Just to give you an idea of my goals, I would love to lose another 25 pounds of fat while gaining lean muscle, to get a sexy toned look.

If you have any questions about what fitness program to use or even what meal plan to use just ask me and we can figure it out together. I would love to continue my journey to fit with some of you who are taking that same journey!!

and just to give you a heads up, I am a Beachbody Coach, but I will never at any point try to push our Beachbody products on you. I may suggest them, but if you choose to go with another program, I would still love to have you in this group.

Re: Weightloss challenge group

  • I'm in! I'm goal-oriented, and in the past 6 months I've gained back a lost of weight I thought I had lost for good! I need to get serious about this again.

    My goals:

    1) Get back on track with the healthy living & eating lifestyle my husband and I had down until we moved.

    2) Lose 35lbs by December 1

    3) Increase my upper body strength

    4) Participate in a 5K

  • I would love to join!

When I met my fiancé I was a killer 110 and felt great, I worked out daily, and ate really well, I lived with my older brother at the time and he was a great workout partner, it helped a lot that I had someone, not only a gym buddy but someone I lived with to keeps us both accountable. when I met my fiancé I slowly stopped hitting the gym to spend time with him, and we ate out most every night, and I was always craving ice cream, and Pepsi, and snickers, I hadn't had any of that in well over a year, and it was nice sharing those things with him. but now I have gained all my weight back that was lost, and then some.

ive sense cut out soda, candy, chips, and have started to eat as well as I can. my fiancé has a high metabolism and can eat whatever he wants whenever he wants so its hard to have a fitness pal that's not on my same level, but he is very supportive in whatever I want to do for me to be happy.

ive lost about 10 pounds, slowly without working out, just by eating better and cutting junk. and I want to get back down to at least 110 but hopefully 108, and be able to stay there with healthy eating habits and daily workouts again. our wedding is in over a year, but me and my sister our signed up for a Neon Splash Dash in September, and im in no way ready.

what are the workouts, and eating plans that you guys try to follow?

  • I'd be interested!
I am at my highest weight ever! :( 277 lbs
I was 275 in Dec of 2005, but I joined a gym, got a trainer and started eating healthy. I still had ice cream in moderation (I have a love hate relationship with Ben &Jerry!)
and by Aug of 2006 I was down to 205!
But then I met my husband, and while we were dating I wanted to spend as much time with him as I could (which meant many hours in front of the computer chatting or talking on the phone since he lived about 3 hours away at the time)
then over the next 3 years I moved 8 times (to different states and cities!) so keeping a gym schedule went out the window!
I yoyo-ed a lot over the past few years. We both joined a new gym in October and I went 17 days that month and lost 8 pounds! but then my MIL had a brain aneurysm and we have spent nearly every weekend since November 1 going down to see her (2 hours away)
dealing with all of this has been super stressful and definitely took away from wanting to go to the gym since all of our weekend chores had to be taken care of during the week and then we go to her place and take care of her things on weekends.
I've begun to go back to the gym on a more regular basis (at least a couple times a week for the past 2 weeks) and I'd really love to get back into a healthy routine! (especially since I want to lose weight before we have babies in the next couple of years)

One thing I know that really helped me was Spark People! I love the food tracker they have there. :)
Hope more people sign up for this! I'd love to be a part of it!
    ~Jenny~
