My friend at work is recently engaged. She is looking for a reception place along the Main Line. Her wedding will be at Sts Philip and James in Exton.
Ideally, she would like something within a half hour of the church and is leaning more towards a hotel. However, she is open to any and all ideas (country clubs, mansions, etc). She would like to just pay for everything to be included, and not have a byo or find a caterer etc....
So far, we have Radnor Hotel, the Desmond and Sheraton Great Valley on there. She loves Normandy Farms, but feels that is a tad too far. And, changing the church is not an option.
Any ideas? TIA
Re: Wedding Receptions
We went to a wedding at the Downingtown Country Club years ago. It was quite nice.
We had our reception there, too! It was great!
was Clem your wedding planner???

They were my client and love Clem... he's at the Doubletree Valley Forge now which could also be a possible wedding reception venue. Ballroom is really nice. I could probably brainstorm a bunch for you since I used to work in the wedding industry, but my brain has shut off that part of my life right now considering the circumstances. :-)
i didn't know he left! They are actually a client of mine too!! Small world but I don't deal with weddings unfortunately so I didn't get to work with him. He's one of the main reasons we had our wedding there.
yes!! He was the reason we decided to go there!
