Re: QOTD 7/3
We actually haven't been home for the past two 4ths. In 2011, we were in Cape Cod (where we got engaged on the 5th!). Last year, we were back in our hometown doing some wedding planning.
This year, we hope to go to the local fireworks. They're usually pretty good, but we haven't been in 2 years. They used to have a carnival with live music that coincided with the fireworks...hopefully they still have that. I really hope it doesn't rain tomorrow...it has rained just about every day for the last 2 weeks. I'm also hoping that the field where the fireworks is isn't soaking wet and muddy!
Oh...and I need to stop at Wegmans on my way home from work and pick up some Red, White, and Blue Bread. It's a sweet bread with blueberries and cranberries in it. If you're lucky enough to live near a Wegmans, you HAVE to try it!
It's my day's birthday so we usually head to Lake George because my parents tend to spend this week there. Unfortunately, I work every other fourth so this year I am stuck working. DH might go up, but I won't be able to which makes me really sad. I feel like I'm missing out because I won't see my dad and I won't have DH home! I work nights, so I will just be home sleeping during the day, but it doesn't matter...I'm still upset!
