  • I FINALLY broke through by plateau and lost 2.6 pounds. I am about 1.5 pounds away from losing 30. When I hit 30, I'm planning on a mani and pedi to reward myself.

  • I finally lost 2 weeks in a row... but now it's TOM and I'm all over the place.

    I got back to the gym Monday, but I was getting cramps, lower back pain and a magraine last night.  I usually fine during TOM, then every 3-4 mons I get one with ALL the bells and whistles.  I should be back at the gym tonight with the help of lots of alieve.

  • I just started to get back to my fitness routine. Up until last week, I hadn't run since March. I was going to my Pilates class, but definitely not the 2x per week that I should be. I'm writing my thesis and still doing experiments in the lab, so work got in the way for awhile. I noticed that I was starting to gain weight and I had lost a lot of the toning that I had worked so hard for before the wedding. I'm now making it a priority to fit running/pilates into my schedule. I've been getting up at 6:30 am M, W, F to go for a run (2 miles of walk/run intervals, since I haven't run in a long time I need to build up some endurance). I go to my Pilates class T/Th evenings (this can be tough because I can't always get out of the lab on time...I'm really trying to be consistent though).

    Congrats to both of you for losing lbs! Mana, I hope you're feeing better soon!

  • Congrats, Willy!! I'm to my mani/pedi reward point :) And Mana, I understand! It's my TOM too (well, tomorrow), but I broke down and had some cookies. haha. We're also having a game night tonight and I'm making a fresh peach cobbler. I need to go for a walk while it's not raining...

    I've lost my first 10 pounds as of this morning! I haven't been trying really hard, but I've been aware of what I'm eating. I'm going to make sure I'm really sticking at this 10 pounds before I reward myself with my mani/pedi :)

  • Congrats everyone!!

    I can't seem to lose anything.  I wasn't that great last week though but I wasn't awful either.  We are back to the gym this week and we even plan to go tomorrow.  I just have to keep working at it and things will change.  I do have to remember that I am doing alot of lifting so I am building muscle.

  • How weird that it's TOM for so many of us right now...it's mine too! Due to probably some sort of premenstrual wackiness, my scale says I'm down 2 pounds in 4 days...yeah, right! Gonna have to wait until AF gets out of town to know where I really am.
