I should've known better than to go on a holiday but I wanted something to start a project this weekend.
They had some towels on sale for $.99... 2 per household. We didn't even go upstairs because we didn't want them and knew where the item we needed was downstairs. Thought we would avoid the craziness. Nope. The women in our line had 100 towels (no joke the cashier told me when we checked out) in their cart and had their kids cycling back and forth buying them in multiple transactions. We didn't know what was going on until the line didn't move for over a half hour and I investigated. Dh called someone over and asked for a manager (usually it is me that bittches so he must have been super annoyed) . He came and announced two per household not person and the people in front of us (who "only" had 36 towels) threw a fit. Then people swarmed their cart to take the towels like it was water in the desert. People amaze me.
No point to this really.
Re: Pointless Ikea vent
No!!! They didn't look soft at all! Which was part of why I thought it was insane! It was like Black Friday without rules
Exactly! I don't understand people some time. Don't they understand that their time is valuable?
I agree about old navy. That happened to us once and we kept driving.
Maybe their time isn't valuable!! I'm all for a good sale but within reason!!
I thought about that too. My first thought was...resale? Somewhere? You know, the bath towel black market.
I wonder if Ikea's return policy is lax enough that you could bring back all those towels, without a receipt, and get store credit for a much higher amount than what you paid? Im still intrigued.
I have a feeling they would be christmas gifts for all their nearest and dearest or maybe they don't do laundry and just toss them out?
I didn't even think of that, good point!
