QOTD 7/5

How do you feel about having a house guest who brings their dog with them?

Re: QOTD 7/5

  • I'd be okay with it as long as I knew about it beforehand and the dog is friendly to people and other dogs. And as long as they brought a kennel/carrier kind of thing for when we left the house. I'll especially be okay with it once we get a house. Our dog loves other dogs, so as long as it's friendly and likes to play, it would actually be a good thing!!

  • I would not be ok with it. I am allergic to dogs and very OCD about my house staying clean. People know this about me and would never. If DH's sister and husband come to visit they know not to bring their dogs.

If i was a dog person and they didn't ask beforehand I would be annoyed!

  • Not a fan of the whole animals-in-the-house thing.
  • I wouldn't have a problem with it, but the landlord of our townhouse would as dogs aren't allowed. DH and I love dogs! We can't wait to get a golden retriever once we move and are in a more pet friendly space.

That being said, I would expect that hypothetical friend would discipline and clean up after said dog while they were staying with us.

  • If they asked, I would probably be ok.  My sister always brings her dog and sometimes her bf's when she comes over and some of my friends travel with their dogs.  We have a dog that is very friendly with other dogs, so we like it.  Plus, addy gets tired out from playing!

  • If they asked, and it was for a short period of time (i.e., one or two days at most), I'd probably be ok with it.  Our house is so tiny, though, I don't think we could do much more than that.  And we have a cat, I don't think he'd be too happy :) (And, of course, the dog would have to be somewhat friendly with cats...)
