Is it any good? We are a former Army family who was stationed in Germany. We are coming to Taos over X-mas and were thinking of giving this place a shot.
Any other restaurant recs? Both formal and casual.
I'm so excited there is already snow!
Re: The Bavarian in Taos?
I've never tried the Barvarian.
We usually eat at the following places in Taos....
Stakeout Grill and Bar - http://www.stakeoutrestaurant.com/ - great views; casual to dancy; it's on the other side of Taos from the ski valley; tends that people love it or hate it; like most New Mexican places you can get impeccable service or lousy service
Outback Pizza - great local pizza place, casual & inexpensive
Joseph's Table - http://www.josephstable.com/ - fine dining, VERY yummy, great ambiance; I LOVE chef Joseph Wrede
Doc Martin's - http://www.taosinn.com/restaurant.html - resteraunt in Taos Inn so you're in the middle of town; the bar is fun for cocktails and people watch
Dragonfly Cafe - good for breakfast/brunch
Orlando's - good New Mex food
Old Blinking Light - closest to the ski valley, casual
Gypsy 360 (in Arroyo Seco) - Pan Asian
