"Meaty" appetizers?
I am hosting a dinner party soon.
Main dish: homemade ravioli with butternut squash filling, brown butter sauce
Salad: Spinach with strawberries, chopped walnuts, vinegarette
Appetizer: I am going to make bruschetta with mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes, and want to make one more appetizer too...?
Most of my friends are meat eaters, and I'm worried I won't be providing enough protein in this meal. Any ideas on appetizers that could be a little bit "meaty" to satisfy their palate? Or any ideas on how to alter the main dish or side dish at all to add protein? TIA.
Re: "Meaty" appetizers?
I haven't made these but just saw them pop up on my pinterest this morning:
Mini Grilled Stuffed Peppers w/sausage & basil

She also lists some alternative fillings.
Bacon wrapped anything!
A friend of ours does bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cheese. I think she uses blue cheese. They're so good!
