You guys, I can't make this stuff up

So, Friday night I had to go to a bridal shower. It was for H's cousin's fiancee. They live in Mexico, she is originally from Germany, but she and her mother travelled up here for the shower. I met SIL for happy hour margaritas before going. Now, we've been to their baby showers before and know that these ladies like to play lots of games and it's always kind of funny to see how different their culture is from ours and all that. But it's still a little awkward because only a few of them speak just a little bit of English so we are kind of out of the loop. Therefore, we obviously needed margaritas before going (we knew there would be no alchol there).

SO. We arrive and take our seats and join in the games which weren't too bad. UNTIL.

I can't even type this out. So, this game was for the bride to play. They made her lay down on the living room floor on her stomach and covered her with a sheet. Then they handed her a blown up balloon and the object was to put it under herself and pop it. Balloon humping, basically. And they made her do three times.

 I was mortified for her.

Holy crap. That's horrifying. Was she embarrassed, or do you think she knew that was coming?

There's no way I would ever do that. Especially not in front of my family!

I don't know! She was very gracious about it though. We both told our H's about it and yesterday we were all contemplating about where that falls on the overall spectrum of Mexican bridal showers (hopefully at the end of that being the worst). These ladies weren't even drinking, it was mostly hilarious.

I did too! I was wondering what MIL had done this time around! I would be extremely MORTIFIED if I had to do that at my shower!

I don't know if I could have done that game sober. I would have needed several large drinks in me first to hump a balloon in front of my family.

I think having the sheet almost makes it worse! Makes it seem more sexual or like it's something that should not be seen. Which of course it is but then why even do it?!

I don't know if I could watch that let alone do that with family around. Even drunk off my tuches. >.<

And I totally thought this was a MIL post too.
