Another kid question for you all...
What kind of sunscreen are you all putting on your kids this summer? I've been using the Banana Boat natural one because I know the zinc formulas are better for eczema/less chemicals. But the tub is so small, we burn right through it with 2 kids outside every day. What do you use? I might have to go back to "chemical" sunscreen due to the price.
Re: Another kid question for you all...
We use Melaleuca right now. I've also used Califotnia Baby, Badger and Jason. I believe that the Jason brand was the cheapest zinc or titanium option that I'ce found in stores. The sunblocks with zinc and titanium tend to be more expensive than the chemical barriers.
Most of the time I make both kids wear rash guards, so the area that has to be covered with sunscreen is smaller and the areas most likely to get burned (shoulders) are well protected. Heather wore a strappy one piece suit while we were camping and despite multiple applications of sunscreen, she got burned from being exposed in the sun all day. :-(
blue lizard here too - i bought a couple bottles online & price shopped it so it wasn't that bad. Eamon wears a rash guard & he is my biggest concern so don't have to use too much. So far its worked ok this summer
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
I buy the stuff without chemicals. We've used the All Terrain brand the last couple of years.

I buy it through a co-op and usually get it for around $7/8 and it lasts most of the summer for us.
