:-). Good morning happy Monday.

How was your weekend?  Our was pretty good nothing to exciting but a good weekend.

I have been trying really hard to get in a routine to exercise for the month of July. I am really good at quitting after 2 weeks but so far I have been doing awesome and I am to the point that I start thinking about what kind of workout I will do the next day.  I think that is a good sign :-).  Still not considering it a habit yet.

E how is your leg?  Have you called the Dr yet?

Joy good luck today :-P and I am rooting for a girl!

Re: "now don't start that again"

  • Morning!

My weekend was a weekend. I'm sure you all saw my fb post that my grandma died on Saturday night. I had planned to go up for the funeral (in Ohio) but the financial aspect just wasn't going to work. If Chase and I went, it was going to be a lot of money. H wouldn't be able to get off work, and not taking Chase wasn't an option since that side of the family had never met him. But I can't swing it.

Saturday during the day, we met with a realtor about putting our house on the market. Yesterday she came to the house and tonight she's coming to put a sign in the yard. Eep.

  • Hello! My weekend was good. Thursday we went to the carnival in my hometown. Got to eat lots of yummy firemen's food, watched the fireworks, and won some glasses at the dime pitch. DH took my nephew on a ride (the zipper) and they got stuck! It broke down. hahaha! My nephew said "I don't want to die in this cage!". They got out ok, after about 20 minutes. hahahahah!!!!
Saturday was DH's family reunion. It was really nice.

Aggie - Yay for exercising! I really need to start doing something. I just have no motivation.
Kris - Sorry about your grandma. :(

  • Go Aggie on the exercising!  I quit running until September after my bad 5K in June.  There's too much going on with the house (anyone want to hear about the wall?) and it's just too hot.  I'll get wretched migraines if I overheat in this weather.  I've come to really enjoy running in the cooler weather.  And the rain!

I'm sorry about your Grandma, kris.

It sounds like you had a really nice reunion, jlq!

Let's see.  We ripped out our ceiling to the second bedroom on July 4th.  As of yesterday, the ceiling has been re-drywalled and most of the wall has been, as well.  There's a bit more to be done.  After that, we'll clean out the room of tools and dust (zomg - it's soo bad) and we'll start mudding and sanding all the drywall seams, corners, and screws.  After that - we PAINT!

I'm excited to paint.  I pushing for a light shade of orange in the room.  It's different and kinda fun.  Let's have fun with this room we worked so hard on.

  • Kris- sending hugs and prayers your way.  I am so sorry about the loss of your grandma :(

jlq I am glad you had a great weekend I was thinking about you and your 4 days off.  That is crazy that your H and nephew got stuck! There was actually a fatality at 6 flags this weekend I think I am never going on a roller coaster again (before this fatality I wasn't a huge fan anyway)

JOY! I am glad your wall and ceiling are coming together. I know its taken WAY longer than you had hoped but lets celebrate progress.  You are brave with your orange. I am not brave, not brave at all nor am I an interior decorator.  I want pictures.

  • Jay has taken an entire progression of pictures on his phone.  I have a feeling the progression of events will be put on Facebook once finished :-)

It was a lovely 4 days off. I don't want to go back to work. haha! The only downside to our trip was H's mom&stepdad going out to the bar Friday night instead of staying home to visit with us. They also didn't go to the reunion for the same reason, so really we didn't get to spend much time with them. Oh well. It's nothing new.
I saw that news about the 6 Flags thing. That's so scary! I love roller coasters, but that would deter me a little, too.

Ok, I was going to post a picture DH took of the carnival guy climbing up the ride pulling pins out while they were stuck, but it was huge and I can't get it to post smaller. Booo.

Joy - I agree, we definitely need pictures!

    Good Morning!

Aggie: You go, keep it up! I need to start doing something about my weight. I saw a picture of myself and I was not a fan.

JLQ: Sounds like a great weekend!

Joy: Woohoo!! Glad things are moving along.

    Kris: Sorry about your grandma.

Our weekend was good. We went to H cousin grad party on Sat. My MIL and Aunt IL didn't drive me too crazy. H and I ended up staying quite late and played some pool volleyball after almost everyone left. It was fun! Sunday I relaxed and H mowed the lawn. This weekend I will be in WI for training. I leave tomorrow afternoon. If I am MIA that is why.

  • Hey ladies!  My work computer has been infected with some nasty virus so I was at a temporary desk all day which is in a public area so no nesting for me.  And it will likely be the same tomorrow.  It's been a pretty crappy day all around for many reasons, not just the computer.

I had a great time in DC though!  It was hotter than Hades but I got to do a lot which was fun :)  The Library of Congress was amazing and I also visited the Natural History Museum, the American History Museum, and the National Portrait Gallery.  While it was fun, I was definitely museum-ed out by the time I was done.

Aggie - great job with the exercise routine!  And as far as my leg is concerned, I have an appointment with an orthopedic guy who specializes in sports medicine tomorrow morning.  It's feeling a bit better but then again, it was last week after I hadn't run in a while but then it flared up again.  So I have high hopes for the sports medicine doc to be able to diagnose me and get me feeling better.

Kris - I'm sorry to hear about your grandma but good luck selling your house!

jlq - glad you had fun at the reunion :)

Joy - I'm glad you can see the light with your wall!!  It's coming together :)

    Degrea - safe travels!
