Worth it or waste of money?
I can't really put my finger on exactly why I'm uncomfortable sleeping. I had to give up stomach sleeping, which was my preferred position; I realize a pillow isn't going to solve that though. My hip aches on whichever side I've been lying on. I'm considering buying a snoogle but don't want to throw away $40+ when I don't even know what my problem is.
If I get one, do I need an additional cover for it, other than what it comes with? Amazon reviews say it's scratchy.
I realize I'm just shy of 16 weeks so it might sound ridiculous that I'm already uncomfortable sometimes, but I have gained more weight than the average person has at this point (probably more than the average twin mom at 16 weeks, really).

I have a snoogle that a friend let me borrow and its definitely helped. I was a stomach sleeper and the snoogle helps to allow me to still somewhat sleep on my stomach, while supporting me. I believe it has the original cover on it, and while it is a bit scratchy, I suppose, it's not bothersome.
I was using a body pillow before the snoogle, which helped some, but once I got bigger, it just wasn't cutting it anymore.

I have a $15 body pillow that has been amazing. I'm also a stomach sleeper usually and I can kind of wedge myself into a position that is kind of like sleeping on my stomach.
the snoogle might be awesome but I just didn't want to spend that kind of money.

Agreed! Don't worry - I was uncomfortable early on, too. I got a $10 body pillow from Target, and that helped.
This is really good to know--I've been kind of concerned about it. I thought people might think I was being silly.
Thanks for the input everyone.
I guess I should clarify that I had different issues towards then end- my back would ache and my feet started swelling, but the hip issue didn't change.

I figured. I assume I will have additional issues later on, but still good to know that at least something that bothered you early on didn't get worse.

I loved mine. In fact, I was so sad when I had to stop using it after DS because it became uncomfortable (this was like 6 or 7 months post partum).
