Warm Water Beaches in September

We plan to take a vacay the 2nd weekend in September. We would like to go to a beach but are unsure of where we can go that the weather and water will still be warm and we will not have to worry about rain season or natural disaster. Any suggestions?

  • How far are you willing to travel? Brazil has gorgeous beaches that are warm pretty much year round.

It's a great time for Hawaii. It's technically hurricane season, but it's really rare for Hawaii to get affected by hurricanes. It's much quieter than summer and winter, so you're more likely to find deals, and the weather and water are still warm.

  • We went to Maui the 3rd week of September last year for our honeymoon and the weather was gorgeous. No rain, warm water, and a consistent high of 88-90 with lows around 72-74.
  • I 3rd Hawaii! We went to Kauai in October for a week, the weather was gorgeous! Never got over 80, stayed in the 70's. Loved it!
  • If you want to stay state-side, you can still have pretty warm temps (water and air) in North Carolina and south of that.  Myrtle Beach's site lists air temps around 85 in Sept and water temps around 80.  That's only 3 degrees off of the highest temps in that area.
