thoughts on this light fixture for media room/playroom

The room is painted light gray, we will coordinate with dark gray futon, along with this colorful curtain from IKEA link also below. 

Thoughts? Its a small room, do you think it will be too busy? Also room s/double as media room for dh and play room for  YO and 7 YO but not sure if the lighting works for both purposes.

The curtains make me think of hot air balloons and the light makes me think of computers. I like them both, I'm just not sure they go together. I would scrap the curtains, I'm not sure how they'll look with all the gray. Instead, I'd pick a solid color or two from the light for curtains.

They are two opposing styles; the light fixture is very modern while the curtains are very juvenile.  I would pair that light fixture with solid curtains in a bold primary shade, perhaps red or yellow?  Primary colors work well in play areas, and they would tie in with your light.
