I'm selling my stunning wedding gown after it went to the best use on the best day of my life. I'm not a saver (although the sash my mother made me for the dress I will save) and feel this dress would be much better off being used by someone looking for a gorgeous designer dress at a discount!
I have thousands of pictures, am happy to share (can't seem to find a place to share on here). Here is the description from Rivini directly:
RIVINI ? ELIZABETTA GOWN (FALL 2012 COLLECTION)
Silk organza ball gown has a double peplum edged in mohair revealing ruffles of silk organza and pleated tulle. The bodice is sculpted in silk organza and pleated tulle, and the waist is accented with an elderberry grosgrain ribbon finished with a black diamond crystal appliqu? dripping with swags of crystals and delicate chains.
Material: Silk organza, Fortuny pleated tulle
Color: ivory / white (I?m assuming this means it?s just off white ? not true ivory? maybe a really light ivory)
I bought a designer size 10. I wear typically either a 6 or 8, depending on the style of things. This is an A-Line (not a ball gown although it might be confused as one due the the dramatic front). I had it altered to take in the entire bodice (took in waist, took in chest area and added cups into the dress so I didn?t have to wear a bra). It comes complete with a striking sash (very modern, avant garde) which I didn?t use b/c the color didn?t go with my style for the day. So I removed the sash (professionally) and my mother sewed a sash for me, hand made and beaded. I will be keeping my mom?s sash, but selling the designer?s sash with the dress.
I?m happy to answer questions about the dress.
I paid $6,400 plus alterations ($375). I am selling the dress dry cleaned and packed to ship for $4,300 plus shipping. I?ve never shipped a dress so I don?t actually know how much that costs but I?d search for good options at good prices.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
