Not Guilty of Aiding the Enemy, guilty of theft and Espionage.
*Probably* the correct verdict. I never for a second thought he wanted to harm American interests, and the prosecution just came across as petty, vindictive, and dishonest with regards to those charges.
I'm reminded of Scooter Libby and Dick Cheney. I guess if you're rich and powerful you can leak secrets.

Count me in for a third vote for correct verdict.
I don't think many people were even paying much attention to this! It's interesting what draws the attention of the American public...or perhaps more interesting what doesn't.
Well, I think it's also what happens when a case takes ... three years? to wind it's way through the courts. Hell, *I* pay attention to these things and *I* had to remind myself what Manning vs. Snowden did.
I do think it's fascinating that on national security policy issues, the center-right and center-left now hold essentially identical positions.
