Okay! My husband is the techie in the family. So, he backed up my computer and found some footage of me. Nothing too, you know, well not at all 'freaky'. It was me practicing for Zumba, I was practicing routines and decided to film them so I could use them to remember the moves. But, since I was alone, I was seriously 'Breakin it down'.

He then tells me later on 'I saw your videos'. Oh man, I got so shy, makes no sense. He's seen it all, but this is what makes me shy. What the heck!??

Anyway, that just made him like it even more. Whatever, I just need to get over it, and not let it embarrass me, I guess no one likes people (even husbands) watching them when they're workout...lol

I'm a natural performer. I do public stuff like community theater, but I also really rock out to my own music and go into my own world of hallway and street corner dancing. As soon as I'm noticed I get self conscious (note: strangers compliment me and smile at my carefree public dancing several times a week). Meh. It's what it is. Keep working on it. I am! I would get self conscious at my husband watching video of me in any context, be it a legit performance, public talk, dancing by myself, etc. But I don't stop him from doing it, I try to focus on all the beautiful things he sees.

I have a 4 hour video of my man and I talking while on an acid trip...strangely enough, we were discussing why people ruin their lives with drugs....while on drugs. LOL. Also, I was spinning in one of our computer chairs for a good 20 min like my life depended on it. Much worse than Zumba routines ;D

My husband lives overseas, so we make funny little videos for each other in order to feel closer.  At first, this was just painfully awkward (I am immensely camera shy), and I absolutely HATED doing it.  One simple "video journal" would take hours to complete because I kept re-recording because I always felt I looked and sounded utterly ridiculous.  The funny thing is, the more awkward the footage, the more my husband liked it. We're talking fake sports casting, a fake weather report, even a cooking segment (I made a "cake" out of macaroni and cheese and attempted to sing him "Happy Birthday" in Arabic, which I butchered, and the candles melted into the macaroni - which is his favorite video, coincidentally).  He claims he likes the ones I hate, because they seem more natural, and less staged.  Go figure.
