Looking for a photographer for baby/children's photos...
I don't know if we're going to do newborn pics or not. And I don't really even know what I'm looking for. I hate staged/studio pics... I think maybe I'm looking for someone to come out to our house for baby pics... and someone that might even give me the flexibility of choosing/printing my own pictures. So basically... just someone with a really good eye and a good camera. Maybe pay by the hour??? I dunno... does this even make sense?

I DID find someone and am really happy with the pics. I am all about staging, so I don't know how much that helps you.

She is a little pricey- but in the end, I think it was alright.
Did she come to you or did you go to her? Does she give you the photos on a disk or did you have to purchase a package?
Would you mind sharing a price range? I found someone that charges $150 sitting fee (up to 4 people) for 60-90 minutes, and gives you a disk... is that waaaaay less than you paid?
I thought that was a pretty good deal. And she'll go wherever... ?
That is the one thing I found to be outrageous with them- to get all the pics, it is several, several hundred dollars.

We got a free 16x20 (because this bet she made) and a 20 4x6 book for 200 something dollars.

They both say Austin, but they travel. I think they may be around $300 though and you get a DVD.
