1) We received a letter from the city saying that they are withdrawing the 10 foot dedication in the front of our house. We are still not sure what that means in terms the front expansion. However, after reading and reading the letter, I concluded that if we were to apply for the set-back modification again, we would get it because our house now sits 30 feet away from the street instead of 20 before the dedication withdrawal. Our architect is going to check on that for us.
2) Our architect called and said he talked to the powers that be and our plans have been stamped and approved. Once he gets them back, then we are off to the city again to get the permits. I won't really believe it until I see the approval letter, but I do feel a bit more at ease.
But, if we can expand an extra 10 feet out.. there might be more delays. I would rather wait a bit more and know for certain if we can go forward more or not, than just accept what we have and always wonder.
