Alliance OBGYN girls

Hello ladies,

I am currently looking to switch my OB and have been considering Alliance (thanks to the great reviews you ladies give it!) , however I want to know if they will deliver at Ingham Regional? Their website only mentions Sparrow and I refuse to go there...but I didn't know if they had a select few doctors who would deliver at Ingham? Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Alliance OBGYN girls

  • They only deliver at Sparrow, which in my opinion, is the best place to have a baby!
  • That's right, and I second what Amber said about Sparrow! I'm so glad I switched, and it was specifically so I could deliver at Sparrow.
  • I just recently switched to Alliance and, like the other girls said, only delivers at Sparrow. I had my DS and Ingham and was going to Ingham Women's Health and I like them well enough, but not completely. Everyone is nice but they only have 2 doctors and 1 of which was a male. They *make* you see both doctors before you deliver. I just didn't want a male doctor.
  • I had great experiences with Alliance and Sparrow

  • Leesa....at Alliance there is a male doctor and you have to see all of the doctors. They should have told you that when you called...

That will make me really mad because I went in there for an appointment and specifically asked the lady if I had to see the male doctor and she said no... I just get the creeps with male gynos...

  • I don't think you "have" to see him at an appointment.  They recommend you rotate and meet all the doctors, but you don't have too.  However, if he's on call when you go into the hospital, then obviously you'd have to see him.

  • Dont freak out about Dr. Moyerbrailean he is a wondeful doctor, as with all of the doctors at Alliance. My SIL  was 8 1/2 months pregnant when her daughter (my niece) passed away at the age of 2 1/2... the doctors at Alliance were nothing more then amazing and  I believe he delivered  two of her three children. He is a very nice , non-creepy doctor. I was against men too because of bad experiences in the past but I would be honored for him to be part of my childs birth, when I have one.

  • They should have told you that, I can't believe that they didn't. They make it a point to tell every patient about it and infact i've heard them suggest over the phone that a patient choose another practice if they are not comfortable with it. None of the docs there are creepy though. It would be nice for you to see him in advance if you ever decided to get pregnant again, the delivery room is no place for suprises!
