0-6 Misses you. Please come back and tell us how you and Jada are doing!!!!
Re: Gezatron!!
Hey BrahimBride!
Jada & I (and DH) are doing great! She's growing up so fast, I can't believe she's 4.5 months old now! I miss you ladies on 0-6 (I do lurk there on rare occasions) but just felt I needed to take a bit of a Nest / Bump break for a while. I will probably post there again soon.
omg... you stole my idea! lol
I know there are many who would love to hear an update. Did you get a new pediatrician?
i am going to come out and ask. Does you baby still CIO?
I think there are MANY people who would really feel better knowing this. The way things were left was very upsetting to everyone involved. It can't have been easy for you to hear and I know that people were hard on you...but that's because at the core they were VERY concerned for your baby.
Ok Gez... I am being nosy here...
What was wrong with Jada? You should call me sometime. I know you're a busy mommy....but I miss you like a fat kid misses cake! ?
A few months ago Gezatron posted very proudly that she allowed her 2 wk old baby to CIO for a long period of time. It upset a lot of people, myself included. She was accused of neglecting her baby. I did not do that. I urged her to find a new dr and to read up on why letting a newborn CIO like that was such a bad idea.
I really do hope that things have changed. It did not sound good.
Things have changed. We stopped the CIO at about 2.5 weeks. After talking with our new pedi. Things are better. Amy actually came to visit when Jada was 1 month old. (We've known each other over 13 years). She's like Jada's Aunt.
And BTW, Amy, I can't wait for you to come back and visit again! I'll try and give ya a call tomorrow.
OMG, Gez, you have to come back to 0-6. We'll make it a triumphant return. You can really help other mommas who don't have a lot of experience with newborns....
Seriously, if you took those flames to heart, changed pedi's, and came out smiling and happy on the other side you would be the epitome of class and awesomeness.
Please!! Post a return on 0-6. I am so excited to hear all the good news about Jada!!

Letting your baby cry and cry until it falls asleep.
Yeh...Jada was FAR from every being abused or neglected. If anything she gets too much attention! She is a spoiled little girl! (And so freaking cute....and a fattie!)
I know a lot of people who let their babies CIO....or Cry It Out. Nothing has ever happened to them. Gosh....I know I wasn't always coddled when I cried. My parents had a lot of foster kids at the time...there was no way. I turned out ok....for the most part! ?
And...ya'll be nice to my best friend! ?
I did take the positive suggestions to heart and indeed things are much better now. I'm not sure about an "official return" to 0-6, but I might come back. I wasn't so upset by the people being hard on me. I can take snark & flames. I can even take suggestions and criticism. I'm glad that people were (and are) concerned for Jada. And I'm very glad to report that she's doing well. I just had a really hard time with the negative things said about my family and my DH and the level to which the attacks were taken. It really got out of control and I just needed to take some time to regroup.
