Dh and I completely hate living in Bakersfield.  We really regret moving.  We miss our friends, the things to do, and basically everything else that Bako doesn't have.  The only problem....we bought a house and it's totally decreased in value in the last year so we can't put it up for sale any time soon.  Booo!  I miss you nesties and our lunches together. 

I kept telling dh to give it time and we'll grow to like it.  Now, a year and a half later we're still unhappy.  This just isn't our home.  Let's hope this housing market picks up so we can move back!

can you rent it out? I know how you feel...we are stuck in a place we dont like and my new job gives me a round trip commute of 150 miles a day!!!

Wow! Thats a long commute! Most people at my work live within 5 miles and DH and I have a 42 mile RT commute and people think thats insane. Hopefully you have a lot of good music to listen to and a blue tooth

Commuting is part of the problem.  Dh still works in LA so he's spending 4 hours in a car most days.  He stays with family twice a week and commutes the other days.  Luckily he has a 4 day work week with a 3 day weekend.

I feel your pain, we are in a similar boat. We moved out to palmdale and want to move back to valencia. But our house has dropped in price, so selling is not an option. We are thinking about renting. It sucks feeling like you are just stuck with no options! I'm hoping prices go up soon too!
