Christmas gift for DH

Not trying to disrespect the turkey or anything, but I'm a planner and I need some ideas here.  Anyone know what they're getting their DH this holiday season?

I know it all depends on what he likes (my husband likes computers, cars, and dinners out), but I'd like to hear what's been a hit for you in the past, or what you know will go over well this year.  Anything super creative?  Angel

Re: Christmas gift for DH

  • I don't have anything super creative. DH husbnd and I are going to be a nicer gifts for the 2 of us for our new home. Right now we're leaning to a jetted tub for our bathroom.

On a side note...every year for Xmas I get DH a Christopher Radko ornament that commemorates a milestone for that year. Last year it was a frog with an engagement ring. The year before an SF ornament for our move. This year a wedding one.

Another thought I had was to make a photobook. I wanted to take the best photo of the 2 of us from every trip or mini adventure. This year would be a 2007 book since that's the most recent complete year.

Hope that gives you a little inspiration.

  • We are taking it easy on gifts this year since we've just done a lot of traveling and moving in the last few months...and ya know, I usually have a huge list of things to get him, but this year I'm not as inspired for some reason.  Other than his favorite ex officio undies and socks, I might get him a bonnet scoop for his mini cooper clubman. Last year for his birthday, I got him a cooking class for the two of us at Sur La Table and it was with one of his favorite cuisines (but I don't think you guys like to cook much?). Is there a restaurant you've been scoping out since you've been back to Portland that you want to go to? You can make him a handmade gift certificicate for a hot night out on the town at that restaurant whenever he likes.

The photobook idea is nice. I've made 3 of them in the last year throuh mypublisher...they're beautiful and not too expensive.
