Recommend Providence OB

Hi all,

I don't get over to this board too often, but was wondering if anyone has an OB they like who delivers at the Portland Providence hospital (the one right of I-84/52ndish).  We're going to TTC next year and I want to start interviewing docs now so I know who we'll be with from start to finish.

My OB is over there.  She didn't get to deliver my DD since my water broke at 34 weeks and I was rushed over to St. Vincent's, but I LOVED her and the practice.  Her office is in the building across from the hospital and the parking.  Her name is Dr. Maxine Bauer.  Over the course of your pregnancy, they have you make appointments with all the other doctors and the midwife, so you at least have a chance to meet them.  That way, if you go into labor at an odd hour and Dr. Bauer isn't on call, you won't have to deliver with a complete stranger.  I only got to meet three of them, including Dr. Bauer, but they were all super nice.  I really liked it there, made me feel right at home.  And she was a referral from a friend of a friend, so I didn't know her going into this either.  Good luck.

Anyone from the Providence Women's Clinic delivers there.  I see Dr. Sidney Prescott.

Dr, Polo works with Dr. Bauer at Women's Health today and I loved him! He was awesome and work really hard to get me a vaginal delivery. He helped me manage my GD and was really an amazing doctor given all the complications I had.
