**hamillm**

Hey I posted for a job at EAMC....... I put you and Jarrett down as "employees I know" - I figured since we talked about that  previously you were ok with it.

Not sure if you know anyone in HR......

Re: **hamillm**

  • Sure, that's fine! I know who works over there, but I don't "know" anyone...if you know what I mean, lol.  I wish I did!  What job is it?
  • I believe it's the Process Management Analyst?!?!?!

Go make friends with someone silly!!!!

  • Lol, I actually know the guy that left that position! He worked here in the lab, then went to that position, now he's the director of our lab outreach and toxicology (major bucks!).  He has pretty much brown nosed the higher-ups, that's how he climbed the ladder so quickly.

I have worked with his immediate boss on some things too, but not enough to really know him.  Sorry, I'm not really a fan of many that I have met here that work in HR!  If you were applying for the lab then I could definitely hook you up, haha :)

  • I thought it might have been the woman Genia but you know more than I do!!!!   Well get to know him sister, might help me out and I can take you to dinner!!!  LOL
  • It may not be the same job then...I thought Gennia took over the director job, but now that I look her up on the directory she has changed again looks like.  I'm pretty sure this was Trae's job bc he asked them why it said an RN degree was preferred.  They may have more than one position with the same title though.

I will ask him next time I see him, it can't hurt! :)  And it's NOT bc you brought up dinner!! Wink

  • well it might be his job cause here's the listing:

    https://www.healthcaresource.com/eamc/index.cfm?fuseaction=search.jobDetails&template=dsp_job_details.cfm&cJobId=782713

but I am on my way to having my Six Sigma, I've done process improvement at almost every job I've been at (doing that right now!!!) and I have an Executive MBA... so I'm pretty close to what they want.  It's just not healthcare related.  But my mom says she doesn't think the business side of healthcare always needs to have healthcare industry experience.  I could always go back to AU and take a few classes in the EMBA program that are geared towards healthcare (there's an option for it I just didn't do that b/c it wasn't relevant to my career at the time).

Who knows but yep, girl you help me and dinner is SO on me!!

  • I think they would be CRAZY not to hire you!!  I'm really not sure why they posted that on the requirements, but he wasn't an RN either and got the job.  I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter about the healthcare part, what you don't already know you can learn!!

Jarrett is wanting to go back for MBA in Healthcare...he has his eye on the lab director job when it comes open, lol.  I told him to go for it...that would mean I could stay at home!

  • you're too sweet.  I think it would be a great position for me.  But I gotta get to politicing!!!!  Yall are the only ones I know there but my friend who is in the 20 under 40 in Opelika knows Genia so she might be able to help too, I'm going to see my friend tonight, so who knows.

Here's the program I was in but it's the healthcare option.  I can ask my friends to talk to Jarrett if he's interested.  It IS expensive but if EAMC has a tuition reembursement program it would be great.

  • Yeah, she probably would be able to help more than me but I will do my best!

EAMC does have a scholarship program...you have to agree to work for so long afterwards to not have to pay it back.  That won't be a problem though.  I will talk to him and make sure he is really serious, I think it's a great idea.  If he is, I'll let you know, thanks!

  • well I think you may have more connections than she does b/c you know me.  And while this friend knows me too, I'm not sure how well she knows Genia - you know?!!?!?  How was that for confusing?!!?!?  ha.

Yeah, Jarrett should totally look into it but I'd say POST baby b/c it's a 21 month program non stop and you travel overseas.

  • Haha, I think I got it.

Now that I think about it, I think he was talking about doing the online program...bc he would still have to work so we can survive and feed our child, lol!  So that would be different.

  • yep, you have to work full time while you're in the program so he'd still be bringing home the bacon for da baby.
  • Oh, ok! I'll definitely talk to him about it then, he might as well do it now rather than wait too much longer!

Genia is my ex's sister.  You could always drop my name. LMAO.
