Tell me about Stratford

DH is considering an assignment for a job in Stratford, so I thought I'd check to see if you can give me an idea of what it's like. Nice town? Good for raising a family? I've heard expensive. What else should I know? TIA!!

Re: Tell me about Stratford

  • Hi,

I grew up in Stratford and still live there now with my husband. (hoping to have children soon).  It is a decent town.  I won't lie, there are certain sections of town that are better than others. But all in all, I think it is a nice town.  Some schools are better than others also.   There are 2 high schools, 2 Intermediate schools and at least 7 elementary schools.

In terms of expensive, the majority of towns in Fairfield County is expensive, but Stratford is more affordable than most.  It has a train station, so a day in NYC is always fun!

Feel free to email me with any questions at my bump sreen name followed by "at Yahoo.com"

    Leslie

  • Hi! I grew up in stratford as well, had a nice childhood there. My family still lives there, and if I could I would too. It is more expensive than where I live now.
